Shay was born in a small town called Dawson, GA and at the age of 2, her family moved to Atlanta. Shay graduated from Cedar Grove High School, and later joined the United States Marine Corp and served for 10 years. Shay is a huge Atlanta Falcons fan! She grew up a country girl around plenty of animals thanks to her grandparents. Her grandparents taught Shay how to help take care of animals at the family farm. That is where she found her love for animals. Shay is a mother of 2 wonderful children, a daughter named Kristen born in 2006, and a son named Rodney born in 2014. The newest addition to their family is a Chorkie named Rich. At age 22, Shay graduated from Georgia Medical Institute, however she still wanted to work in the animal care field because of her love for animals. In her spare time, Shay enjoys volunteer coaching at the local recreation center. Some of Shay’s hobbies are swimming, hiking, drawing, reading, writing poetry, playing video games, playing kickball, going to football, basketball, and baseball games with family and friends!

Why she does this: "I come to work everyday because I love what I do, It’s just that simple."

Veraye was born in Atlanta and at the age of eight her family moved to Woodstock. It was there that she discovered her love for animals, because she was able to help take care of animals at some of her friends family farms. At age 18 she got her first job at a vet clinic, starting in the kennel and then working her way up to the lab and then eventually as a receptionist. Veraye graduated from esthetician school, however she has still wanted to work in the vet field because of how much she enjoys it. She has a miniature dapple Dachshund that she raised has since she was 4 weeks old.  In her spare time, Veraye enjoys swimming, hiking, and practicing esthetics.

Why she does this: "I come to work everyday not feeling like I'm actually working. I love what I do and all animals will always have a special place in my heart."
