Alexa Dean

Alexa grew up in south Florida, but moved to Georgia to attend the University of Georgia in 2011. She graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish with plans to work in the marine biology field.  To further follow her dream, Alexa moved to the Florida Keys and was a research intern at the Dolphin Research Center observing mother and calf development of Bottlenose dolphins. This was where Alexa discovered her interest in dealing with the medical aspect of animal care. She moved back home to Jupiter (yes it's a real town), FL to work at a small animal veterinary hospital to gain experience. In January 2016, Alexa found her way back to Georgia to be closer to her boyfriend who is finishing school in Athens. Currently, she does not have any pets of her own due to a very small apartment, however, she has puppy fever and hopes to adopt one soon. In her spare time, Alexa loves anything outdoors, cooking, and being active.

Why she does this:  "I have always had a love for animals and am so excited that I get the chance to help them on a daily basis".

ChrisStephens for website

Chris was born in Virginia, but raised in Alpharetta, GA. He attended boarding school at Christchurch School in Virginia, and after graduating in 2001, moved to south Florida to pursue a career as a chef. In 2007, Chris returned to Alpharetta and started working at a local veterinary clinic. It was here that he discovered his love for animal care and veterinary medicine. Chris recently married his wife, Alissa (aka Dr. Stephens), who is also in the veterinary field. They got married in May 2015 on Tybee Island, with their dog Stitch, by their side on the alter.  Chris is currently in school to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration. He and his wife have 4 rescue dogs, Stitch, a lab mix, Captain Jack and Virginia, shepherd mixes, and Madison, a pit bull mix. In his spare time Chris enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife on their days off.

Why he does this:  "After I found myself in the veterinary business I felt like I was always changing lives at the end of the day . Knowing that I am not only able to help animals but also bring a sense of relief to their owners with the excellent care I am able to provide their pets, it brings a sense of completion to me. I can no longer see myself in any other business."
